Duz Cho Logging’s main services are timber harvesting, resource road construction and log hauling. Duz Cho Logging was able to reap the rewards of the renewed growth of the forest industry by remaining competitive in the market and obtaining new economic relationships.
Duz Cho Logging owns six trucks and subcontracts as many as 20 from local companies. Duz Cho Logging has the capability of logging up to 500,000 cubic meters annually.
Duz Cho Logging has been working with BC Timber Sales, Ministry of Forests, Lands, and Natural Resources, as well as local mills doing ongoing road construction in the area. Duz Cho Logging currently owns five graders that maintain numerous forestry roads in the Mackenzie area and has the experience and capabilities of constructing roads of all needs.
McLeod Lake Indian Band has been involved in the environmental and archaeological review of the Mount Milligan gold and copper mine, located between Mackenzie and Fort St. James. The Band supports the mine because the project is respectful of the environment while promising employment, contracting and income benefits to McLeod Lake.
Duz Cho Logging currently transports all Mount Milligan’s ore from the mining site to the rail load out in Mackenzie. Duz Cho Logging actively works with Mount Milligan performing minor onsite jobs with various pieces of equipment, as well as maintaining the haul route from the mine site to the rail load out, which includes full time grading.
Duz Cho Logging owns a mobile chipper and works with local mills and companies in the area chipping wood fiber for their required needs. Duz Cho Logging recently finished a large project for Canfor Energy North in Chetwynd BC, where 35,000 cubic meters of wood fiber was chipped to be used in their pellet plant.
Duz Cho Logging currently owns and operates two gravel pits in the Mackenzie area, which provide gravel sales throughout the area. Duz Cho Logging is able to produce products that meet all our customer’s needs, including hauling and placement of aggregate.
Duz Cho Logging owns and operates a 45-man open camp, and it is located 65 km outside of Mackenzie near Mt Milligan.
